Details:
Tuatha, plays world beat music that could only be described as tribal fusion, combining strong rhythms on African and Middle Eastern drums with melodies inspired by India, Eastern Europe, Spain, the Celtic lands and the Middle East.

Based out of Fort Collins Colorado, Tuatha began in 2005 with Ek Balam (Guitar), Tiracai (Violin) and Iannin (Hand Drums), who wanted to create music that reflected their passion for world music, instruments and dance. Once the music began to take shape, they looked to two other long-time friends Logran (Drums) and Pablo (Bass) to complete the band. This combined musical effort has lead to the unique sound that is Tuatha.

Tuatha creates an atmosphere that takes the listener on distant mystical journeys, transcending the here and now. Scene magazine says of Tuatha’s live perfomance "… the atmosphere Tuatha conjured up on that stage... They changed the very air in Hodi''s for their 30-minute set with their music... One could recall the influence of Caribbean nights, maritime passages and various Venetian gypsy markets all packed in a short 30 minutes." Tuatha continues to reach new listeners through music festivals, and live performances throughout Colorado.

In 2008 Tuatha is releasing their new CD “Invocation” and planning a summer tour to promote the CD. Tuatha’s eclectic style appeals to a diverse fan base, which ranges from New Age spiritual seekers to trance dance enthusiasts.
