Details:
Hailing from the heart of the coal region in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Faith In Exile is a breath of fresh air into a music scene dominated by trends and fads. Originally formed in late 2005, they pay more attention to making their music memorable and meaningful than they do to having a fashionable image or a trendy sound. The result is hard hitting and powerful pure rock music that demands you take listen. Their songs are honest, at times brutally so. Each one is a carefully crafted piece of hook-laden hard rock injected with a shot of heavy metal. Faith In Exile''s current lineup of vocalist/guitarist Rob Allison, bassist Allen Buehner, guitarist Brandon Foti, and drummer Ron Gubala was solidified in late fall 2006. Rob''s trademark powerful vocals are underscored with a sense of urgency, influenced by the likes of legends such as Layne Staley, Robert Smith, and Kurt Cobain. Rob''s intricate guitar work combines with Brandon Foti''s blazing, lightning fast axe-shredding that pays homage to metal legends such as Dimebag Darrel and Randy Rhoads to create a powerful driving force that is behind every song. The dream rhythm section is comprised of drummer Ron Gubala and bassist Allen Buehner, whose solid bass playing and imposing stage presence are a perfect compliment to Ron''s innovative and hard-hitting skin-smashing. Faith In Exile''s lyrics are often painfully personal. Each song takes you through a story, whether it is the relationship gone wrong ("Noose"), lies and betrayal ("One False Word"), or heavier issues such as the death of loved ones and suicide ("Desolate"). "These songs are therapy for me," says Rob. "I''ve had many people come up to me and say how much they can relate to our songs. That''s the cool thing about these songs; the themes are universal. It allows us to connect with the fans on a much deeper level."
In late 2006, Faith In Exile headed into C and C Studios in Hazleton, PA to begin work on their debut album. Under the watchful eye of producer/engineer Ivan Justofin (who most notably worked with Pennsylvania-based Sony/550 Music recording artists "Fuel"), the band''s sound was taken to the next level. "The songs just kind of transformed when we got into the studio," says Rob. "We evolved as a band while we were recording." The band finished up recording of their CD, titled "Three Feet Under, Halfway Home," in early April 2007. The CD was released on May 4th and was warmly received by the music community. The album is a rock tour de force, showcasing the band''s songwriting skills that are well beyond their years (Rob is the oldest member at age 21). The first song, "Dismorphia," kicks off the CD in style, grabbing the listener''s attention with sheer brute force and its catchy chorus. The CD weaves through six more hard rock masterpieces, including the first single "One False Word," until it concludes with fan-favorite "The Art of Burning Bridges," leaving the listener craving more of Faith In Exile''s unique brand of hard rock infused with metal and grunge. Faith In Exile will be playing between 25-35 dates this summer to support their new CD release.
Since the fall of 2005, Faith In Exile has been giving their fans honest, powerful, and memorable hard rock with their own signature style. Take a listen and we think you''ll agree!!
