"From the start, I was taken back in time to the late 70s - early 80s when all you heard on my blaster was Lee Reitnour, Larry Carlton, Stanley Jordan, Abraham Laboriel, Donald Fagen, Seawind, John Klemmer with a little bit of Quincy thrown in for good measure... just to name a few. You truly show your "roots". You do an excellent job of paying homage to the greats that have influenced your life and music while, at the same time, maintaining your own distinct sound and musical vocabulary. Your music shows a tremendous amount of generosity as you allow each musician freedom of expression within the vision that you have for each composition.
The CD has a real sense of "progression"... of fluid movement from one image to the next. Soulful moments flow into pure funk and then explode into a fusion of free flowing rhythmic jazz. The way that you play with "time" is pure artistry. Subtle... not "in your face"... complex enough to keep me listening for more but not so complex that a layman like me gets lost.
The crew of musicians that you pulled together to create this project is astounding. I think you''ve done some amazing work. I knew that you were musically awesome but this CD is "a whole ''nother level". - Marcus Mosely

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Dave''s musical career spans over 25 years. In the world of Gospel Music, Dave is a well known and much in demand bassist. He has toured throughout North America and Europe and has shared the stage or recorded with some of Gospel Music’s best known Artists. He is featured on the 2005 & 2007 GMA instrumental albums of the year and two other 2007 GMA award winners. Dave is not only well known for his ability to “kick up the funk”, but also for his incredible melodic stylings and amazing lyrical phrasing. For Dave one of the most fulfilling aspects about performing and recording music is the people, both artists and audience. At the heart of Dave''s philosophy of playing the bass is the desire to make lyrical musical choices and compel the listener in some unique way. To this end, although it has taken him years to learn, he maintains that sometimes the most moving bass lines are spaces of silence.
