*64 is the final incarnation of popular Boston based pop band Angry Salad, who released one Cd on Atlantic in 2000 and toured with The Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon and many other pop-alternative acts of that era. Angry Salad formed in 1993 at Brown University. First, the band was handed their absurdly unforgettable name across a Caribbean hotel bar by the late Freddie Mercury. Then, in 1995 the band moved to Boston, where they recorded and released "The Guinea Pig EP". Continuing in their philosophy of self determination, Angry Salad identified Blackbird/Atlantic Records as the record label that they wanted to be a part of. Based on the success of their EP, they were offered a record deal within days of walking into the Senior VP''s office unannounced.
When AOL bought Time-Warner, Blackbird was no more. these song''s would have been on Angry Salad''s follow up release.
