Product Description
The music of "Extended Logic" uses ambient electronics and effects to create tonal layers that build into magnificent crescendos and washes of sound. Created in a home studio, the material was composed during 1994 and released in 1998. Superb production and stereo balance. Good background music for working or driving. Excellent for meditation and concentration.

Here are some reviews:

Extended Logic is extensive, essential brain food.

- PaperMag, July 1998

I played it for my best friend, record engineer and producer George Pappas. He was impressed. George has worked in one capacity or another for a long list of great musicians, from Mick Jagger to Curtis Mayfield, to Pete Buck of REM.

- Mike Hendry, former Recording Producer

What is immediately and primarily striking is the sunlight that shines through a lot of the melody and instrumentation: crisp sounds, jaunty rhythms, vivid synth pads...

- Julian Coldrey

The result goes beyond even the most rose-colored expectations, and the entire set of sequences, loops and unusual effects are an unavoidable purchase for the fans of this genre.

- Ra Ro! February 1999

CBIRD''s ambient electronic instrumental pieces embody a structured approach to composition and form, while random processes lend the music an improvised feeling. The use of synthesized instruments and effects is evident in the work, as well as progressions that build into powerfully sweeping sequences and layerings.

Extended Logic is a suite of eleven pieces that consists of variations on a central theme grouped into two parts. The instrumentation uses extended chord structures and percussion with solo parts modified using stereo effects and enhancement. The structure of each piece uses a “build method” so that parts are added one at a time to form a cohesive entity.

The music is composed using a Macintosh computer and associated sound processing equipment including, but not limited to, the Ensoniq EPS 16+ sampler, an Alesis Microverb III, and a series of Yamaha SY synthesizers. It was created entirely at a home studio during 1994.
