This tradition united and gravitated Rachmaninov to the monumentality of the operatic choral stage of Hlinka, Mussorgsky, Borodin and to the orchestral invitations of Tchaikovsky and choral findings of Taneev which formed the foundations of the hymns of the all-night Vigil.
