The band F[ei]K performs compositions in crossover and NU metal style i.e. experiments combining different musical styles while still incorporating with the modern tendencies of music. F[ei]K which have gained popularity among youngsters consists of five people: Verners Biters (vocals), Ansis Auders (guitars), Gusts Leimanis (bass), Mārtiņš Opmanis (drums). During the summer of 2000 the band was joined by another member - DJ Krii, who later on chose to leave the band.

The dawn of F[ei]K goes back to the summer of 1998, though with the lapse of time there remains only one member of the former band - Ansis "ROOC" Auders (guitars).

Besides being in the band, the members have very diverse occupations - Mārtiņš is studying Economics and management, Gusts - Law in Business University "Turība", Ansis is mastering e-commerce and Verners working in music shop. The band''s members draw their inspiration from a wide variety of musical styles, which are hard to list, but they range from Queen and Radiohead to such representatives of heavy music as Dimmu Borgir and Sepultura.

The group''s main idea is to spite and tend against the stereotypes that heavy music is underground music and that it should be isolated from the society. With its activity the band is trying turn the attention of wider audience to the fact that there are people in Latvia who support and respect such music which is indicated by the recently established fan club, the countless comments in webpage, as well as the great concert demand.

The authors of the lyrics are the vocalist Verners and the guitarist Ansis. The lyrics are about problems and rackets in life and the way people make you feel. The band doesn''t have a specific slogan or problem wherewith each song is original and unique.

In the summer of 2000 F[ei]K recorded a demo CD, later the collaboration with Gustavo&Ozols was recorded - the cover of the song BOKSS (Bokss featuring F[ei]K). In the summer of 2001 the radio single "SIGH" was recorded, which successfully made it to radio KNZ top 25 and radio SWH "Priekšnams" top 5.

F[ei]K have played more than 150 gigs ranging from small to large events such as "Sinepes un Medus"," 6th Valmiera''s rockfestival", Fanta X-treme party, Cēsis rockfestival "Terpentīns 2001" "Putnu Dienas" in Limbaži a.o. In June concluded the Nokia X-treme party, which was organized in association with Latvian Snowboard Association (LSA) and F[ei]K played alongside with Ufo, Fact and the DJ''s Monstrs and Jānis Krauklis. One of the most serious event of 2001 for the band was Forte Riga closing concert, where F[ei]K played together with Chicherina (RU) and Philip Boa an the Voodoo club. With this event the band is temporary joined by dancers from dance group BG. In August the band attained the second place in the music festival "Liepājas Dzintars 2001" and shortly after left of for a small tour in Norway, where the band took part in Askim''s "Kraftfetivallen".

F[ei]K have also taken part in TATOO events in the club "Pulkvedim neviens neraksta" and "KNZ troksnis" organized by radio KNZ, as well as The Modern Music festival in the Hansiatic days.

F[ei]k has played with different well known bands: Time after Time, R.A.P., EXIT, Skyforger, The Mundane, Dzelzs Vilks, Pienvedēja Piedzīvojumi, Ozols, Blindside a.o.

In 26 November F[ei]K''s debut album "The Inevitable" was released. The album material was recorded in "RSIS" together with producer Tālis Timrots. The Album''s main producers are the band''s vocalist Verners Biters and guitarist Ansis Auders. The album''s sound mastering was made in "Cutting Room" studio in Sweden by sound engineer Bjorn Almsted. Altogether, there are 12 songs in the album and the album was designed by Kaspars Garda (Top Evil). "The Inevitable" was presented stunningly loud in Ķīpsala Hall in 30 November with the auditorium off more than 500 fans. Bands Device (LV), Mary Jane (LV), Gustavo (LV), Gust of Anger (LV) and L''oom (EST) all where invited and played as guests.

In their countless gigs F[ei]K gained a tremendous experience both music and stage wise and are doing everything to pleasure themselves and the pubic in concerts.
