HOT WATER is captained by South Africa singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist Donovan Copley. The result is a fusion of powerful, uplifting sounds and voices with a valuable role to play in the New South Africa.
Hot Water’s sound ranges from upbeat South African beats (ala Graceland), Hopping Blues, Modern Folk ballads (ala Jack Johnson) and thought-provoking, inspiring cross-cultural gems (World-Roots music).
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Hot Water’s first single “Bushfire” has found its initial international screening through Italian company ‘Primigi’s 2007 commercial campaign (screening throughout Europe and now in the US).
The band was also featured on BBC World, and 5 tracks from their album have been chosen to appear on the international EDEL release ''A Day in Cape Town''.
Hot Water has been invited to play the Waterpop Festival taking place in August in Holland 2008. The band is looking forward to meeting European fans and bringing some of its magic to the continent.
