After first meeting whilst Geoff was playing in the now legendary contemporary rock group Henry Cow, one of the first signings to the fledgling`Virgin’ label, Geoff and Cathy have been working together sporadically since the mid-seventies.
After an absence of some years, Geoff & Cathy started playing together again in 2006. Following a successful album presentation concert in Newport in March 2007, the duo commenced work on the second Mirage album, “Child’s Play” their newest release, which takes the eclectic traditions explored so far into a more percussive & eclectic direction, utilizing guest musicians and a much expanded palette of sounds.
Complex and compelling, yet at the same time seductive, subtle and haunting, the music is the product of a long and unique association and has been described as “...vital, willful non-conformity, and especially vital now.”
