Details:
What do members of Remy Zero, the Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies and Hayseed Dixie have in common? Not much. There’s great music, of course, and great live shows. And the word “great” isn’t an accident or hyperbole – they are all great. Other than that, though, the bands don’t have much in common except this: They are all MOLDING.

Members from all those bands (and other bands) show up to play on MOLDING’S bitter and brilliant new record, “Buddha Tormented by Pol Pot”. As the title might suggest, the album represents the struggle and balance between enlightenment and malevolence. Also, the album represents getting drunk and writing caustic songs about ex-girlfriends – that part isn’t really suggested in the title so much.

From the personal to the political to stories where revelations are hard learned to stories where revelations go tragically unlearned (or, perhaps, simply ignored), Buddha... is an angry, witty, intellectual album packed with body blows and knockout punches. It also answers the question: Who killed Frank Zappa?

Musically, MOLDING rocks while wearing its punk and country influences like twin badges of honor. Growling guitars and soaring violins are equally at home. The aggressive attitude of the lyrics are meticulously matched by the music.

Singer/writer/guitarist Eric Watkins brings his offbeat ideas to life with the help of brother Bobby Watkins (Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies), John Wheeler (Hayseed Dixie), Cinjun Tate (Remy Zero), June Kato (Psomni) and other notable Nashville musicians.

NOTE TO RADIO STATIONS: The following songs have bad, bad words in them, and though they are essential and tastefully used, if you play them on terrestrial radio you’ll probably go to Hell. Also you might get unwanted attention from the FCC.

“Woke Up Mad” - (2 fucks and a bunch of Goddamns)
“Sun Tzu, Machiavelli and Iceberg Slim” – (a solitary shit)
“We’ll Get Through This, Baby” – (shit again)
“Cancer Ray” – (2 impeccably placed motherfuckers)

People who are interested in Elvis Costello Old 97’s Todd Snider should consider this download.
