Paul Abelha recently made a name for himself as a finalist on Bravo Network’s Gemini award winning reality television series Bathroom Divas. Paul possesses a marvelous three-octave tenor.
Paul Abelha has appeared on Star! Daily, ET Canada, CP24, CityTV News, CHTV News, Bravo! News, as well as radio interviews on Classical 96.3FM and the AM900 CHML morning show with Bob Bratina and Shiona Thompson. Paul Abelha also appeared on the cover of Hamilton Spectator’s Go entertainment section along with a feature article. He recently appeared on OMNI TV/RTP International’s Canada Contacto which aired to 25 million households worldwide.
Paul continues to expand his musical repertoire and continues to work on achieving the highest level of voice training he can possibly acquire. He does this by working with the likes of one of opera’s genuine heroines Shirley Verrett (soprano), a James Earl Jones Distinguished Professor of Voice who is a legendary star of the world’s great opera houses.
Paul released an album containing a selection of his favourite arias. Just recently, Paul recorded a 2 song CD of crossover hits. Among many of his live performances, Paul Abelha has accomplished one of his lifelong dreams by performing with the world renowned Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra to a crowd of 2000 people.
