Details:
Atmosphere is the fulfillment of a life-long dream in making music. It''s an instrumental tour-de-force that is heavily influenced by Hollywood, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and the like who make movies emotionally connect with their audience. Folded into the album are two other influences, the rhythmic ambiance of DJ greats calling themselves Ecstasy, Corel, Junior, the list goes on, and Enigma - my all time favorite.

The story weaved on the album takes the listener on a grand adventure (you supply the imagery). Starting with ''Arrival'', a song actually written about completing the album (something I thought would never happen), but also sounded just as good as waking up in the morning.

''Something in the Air'' is a travel song, it''s great for those moments looking out the window while in transit and watching the dawn/dusk sun stream through the trees.

''Desert Rescue'' is influenced by Iraq. It starts with an airy, peaceful motif and rapidly plunges into reality.

When composing ''The Charge'', I was thinking about Knights and Medieval battles. This goes back to my childhood, where I used to act out Le Mort d''Arthur and the like.

''Long March'', is just that. It''s a song about going home and the building anticipation of getting there.

''Life'' is a play on Dantes Inferno. It''s a heroic struggle through the trials thrown at you by life and eventually overcoming them. The effect I was going for was that the listener starts in this hellish sort of place and works gradually towards heaven. The song is also about rebirth, working ones way back from the afterlife.

''Whale Song'' is one of the two that make this album not truly instrumental. The stars are the whales, which have beautiful, mournful voices. I tried to create the effect of hearing them sing at 3AM when I was on a submarine a couple years ago - beautiful but haunting.

''Samarkand'' is named after a city in central Asia that was destroyed by Genghis Khan. By all accounts it was a cultural hot spot prior to its destruction so I recreated what it would feel like to be there.

''Emotion'' is a happy song and also another travel song inspired by my four hour (both ways) daily commute to my day job.

''Replitude''. Inspired by the dance clubs of Asia in the Early 90''s - Guam (long live the Onyx), Philippines, Singapore, Australia - its pure dance music.

''Confluence''. Can Hip-Hop, Rock and Country get along? This song is proof that it''s possible. I didn''t think this would be possible but it seemed to work.

About the artist.

I''ve always wanted to make music, from the time my Dad got me a drum set (which I promptly destroyed) to high school where, as a geeky gamer, I hung out in a gaming store (it was about a year away from discovering girls) and messed with this synthesizer set-up that a friend of mine named Jerry had put in an underutilized closet. After that, I went into the military and focused on job, world-wisery, wife and family. Many years later I started dabbling in creating instrumental music from my PC and this is the result. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it. If you do, I have another album working its way through production called ''Eusebeia''. It''s done and due out soon.
