Judging only from the recorded evidence on Pleasant Square, Morrin hasn''t been getting out of his bedroom enough, but the sense of personal warmth triumphing over everyday melancholia is one of the album''s biggest charms. Songs like "People Walk Away", "Michael Grady Went To Mexico" and "Lazy Boy" prove that Morrin is not afraid to express his deep sense of humour on life itself.
