Dan Tindall is a singer, songwriter and acoustic musician from Northern Ireland. In the last few years he has released a whole stack of online EPs and single tracks, as well as the 2007 online album ''Post-Industrial Polka''. He has also produced two actual CDs in 2005 and 2006 - and has now finally got round to producing a new CD for 2008.
Following the success of the online 4 track EP of the same name, ''The Folks Underground'' is a full length offering which adds 6 brand new songs to the original. Recorded in a setting of rural seclusion, the songs offer up social and political satire, personal insight, and a deep sense of the mistrust that underpins the everyday lives of all of us. Wars, and rumours of wars, pervade this album - as does the need to say the sometimes unspoken.
There are slow songs, fast songs, and songs somewhere in between - and not an electric or electronic instrument in sight. Recommended for lovers of lyric, honesty and bizarre insight.
