Her debut CD, Azizah Lisa, is just the beginning for this talented singer and songwriter. Her first single, “I Enjoy Your Company” is receiving airplay on Chicago radio. It’s gotten a tremendous response from fans, of good soul music imbibed with passion and unique talent.
Since releasing her debut CD, Azizah Lisa has captivated audiences with her smooth sound and captivating stage presence. Her love for performing is evident as she interacts with and involves her audience. She has opened for jazz legend Nancy Wilson as well as an all star line up of soul artists including: Erykah Badu, Raheem Devaughn, Amel Larrieux, Bilal, The Whispers, Avante, Mint Condition, Kindred Family Soul, Anthony Hamilton and the Temptations Review.
She has performed in concert at the House of Blues, the Genesis Convention Center, the Country Club Hills Amphitheater, the Hot House, Isaac Hayes Club and the Congress Theater in Chicago and the Conseco Field House (Indpls.,where the NBA Pacers) play. she also starred as Lena Horne in the Chicago Black Renaissance play.
A native of Indianapolis, she comes from a family of singers and songwriters. She has lent background vocals and lyrics to the albums of some of Chicago’s talent, anxiously awaiting the day when she would present her solo project. The “Azizah Lisa” cd features an artful blend of R&B, jazz and blues. Self-penned, the cd features heartfelt lyrics showcasing Azizah’s songwriting skills that create a mellow and unique vibe that is truly her own.

“I Enjoy your Company” – an intriguing neo-soul feel. With a relaxing, catchy hook and song story that touches on the contrast of men and women’s long-term expectations in their dating relationships.
