The only exceptions are the words in Mary’s Song and some of the words in Spark It Up… Those were written by “Oliver”... and Dr Longlocks does not play the drums in Simple.

Dr Longlocks - A Bio

Dr Longlocks?!?!… Who the H does THIS guy think he is?
Just a guy who enjoys all aspects of music.

THE LONG ANSWER:
Dr Longlocks’ musical background began with an old Beatles album and a Hawaiian family that gathered to play and sing together, regularly.
In elementary school, Dr Longlocks played clarinet for 5 years. But he constantly eyed his father’s guitar and ukulele.
Finally, at age 12, Dr Longlocks began practicing on a ukulele and a Harmony 4-string tenor guitar. It wasn’t long before a cheap Montgomery Wards “special” 6-string electric guitar landed in his hands.
In high school, the Dr played coronet and the acoustic bass in the school orchestra.

AM radio was the main input for those younger years.
Then high school friends began introducing the Dr to that “devil music”, Rock and Roll.
Ohhh the humanity…
The next thing you know, the Dr is attending concerts all over the San Francisco Bay Area. The mid to late 70’s was an awesome time to be a musician, and a music lover, in the Bay Area.

By the late 70’s, Dr Longlocks had set his sights on being a musician, for a career, for life.
An honor roll student that graduated high school early… but NOOOO… this guy wants to play music!

Moved to Tacoma Washington in 1980. Played guitar in Parallax, a band that made a small splash in the Tacoma area. After that, no attempts at putting together another exceptional band ever caught flame.

The Dr was most fortunate to have had the influence of Maestro David Kyle. Maestro may have been a vocal coach
and music teacher… but he was FAR more than that! Those
who have worked with the Maestro will KNOW what I am
talking about.

The Dr was a sound designer for plays at the Tacoma Little Theater for a couple of years. During that time the Dr upgraded and maintained the sound system in the building.
This led to the opportunity to become a concert producer/promoter. Dr Longlocks produced the very first “Rock Off” Battle of the Bands in 1986.
At the same time the Dr had begun recording music.
During this time the most famous name the Dr had the pleasure of recording, promoting, working with was Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains.

Later, the Dr worked as a recording engineer in some of the best recording studios in the Pacific Northwest. Eventually migrating to Portland Oregon. The Dr was the only engineer for most of the life of Musicon recording studio in Wilsonville. Then he began recording bands at his own home recording studio.

"But wait, Dr Longlocks… I thought you were in a band?!?!"

As you can see, a whole life has passed as the Dr waited for some good people who were also musicians to show up in his life.
So, the Dr quit waiting for band members to gather around, and began recording himself… playing all the instruments. (a recipe for disaster!?!?!!)

Spark It Up (Just What the Doctor Ordered) is the first official release by Dr Longlocks.

People who are interested in Joe Satriani David Gilmour should consider this download.
