Details:
Ervin Dinwiddie plays guitar and keyboards. He is also a gifted composer and producer. Currently, he lives and performs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ervin studied under renowned jazz guitarists Warren Nunes, Bruce Conte and Joyce Cooling. He has opened shows for superstars Willie BoBo, Cal Jader and Mongo Santamaria. His musical style is a mixture of smooth jazz, Latin jazz, gospel and R&B. His music truly emanates from the heart, and he feels that music should soothe, heal and uplift others.

Ervin’s record label, Lincoln Height Records, is based in North Carolina. His label is currently working on an exciting music project with Faceless Records, a hip-hop label based in Atlanta Georgia. The two labels are working on a combined effort to produce a positive hip-hop album with jazz influences. This album, entitled, “You Can,” will encourage young people to stay focused and to work hard to overcome any obstacles.

Ervin spends his spare time tutoring and counseling young adults in the City of Richmond. In the near future, he plans to establish a school of pride, a non-profit organization for inner city children, with a focus on ethnic and music appreciation. “Your actions are fruitless if you are not reaching out to help someone else,” Ervin expressed during an interview with Neva’s Global Outreach, an organization to help shelter battered women.

Ervin’s ultimate goal is to give back to the community by donating proceeds from his CD sells to various children’s charitable organizations.

Family and fans are Ervin’s sources of inspiration. He feels a great sense of connection with his fans and friends around the world because as he stated on his "Lite to Light " CD cover, "Music is a universal language.”

Ervin’s new release, “Special,” was produced by the musical genius Ray Obiedo (guitar-formerly with Herbie Hancock, George Duke). Other talented musicians performing with Ervin Dinwiddie on this CD were Eric Leeds(soprano sax- formerly with Prince); Marc VW(bass- formerly with Sheila E, Tower of Power); Billy Johnson(drums- formerly with Maze, Santana); Rock Henduichs(alto sax- formerly with Motown); and the one and only Craig Lindsey on lead vocals.

“The CD “Special” has Ervin’s signature sound which is warm, smooth and full of harmonic texture,” says Matt Willis, a popular drummer who has toured and performed with many famous recording artists worldwide.
