Actualmente, Guillermo Anderson es una de las figuras musicales más importantes de Honduras.
Basado en el alegre puerto caribeño de La Ceiba, Honduras su ciudad natal, Guillermo y su grupo fusionan percusiones hondureñas con sonidos contemporáneos. Sus actuaciones se enriquecen con la mezcla de ritmos tradicionales de la etnia garífuna como la "Parranda" y la "Punta" con ritmos más conocidos de caribe. Los conciertos de este cantautor, tanto a voz y guitarra como junto a sus talentosos músicos, celebran el amor, la naturaleza y la vida en esta parte del mundo.
Con varios años en la escena artística nacional es difícil hablar de música hondureña sin mencionar su nombre. Su trayectoria y papel en el panorama cultural de Honduras le ha ganado el ser nombrado Embajador Cultural de su país ante el mundo. Guillermo ha desempeñado un papel importante involucrándose además en varias causas y campañas de educación y salud.
Su canción "En Mi País" es considerada un himno alternativo en Honduras y sus canciones para niños son cantadas en las escuelas públicas

Mujer Cancion, Cancion Mujer
Recientemente Guillermo comenzó un concierto para un grupo de mujeres organizadas diciendo que “en Latinoamérica estamos acostumbrados a escuchar canciones sobre la fragilidad y vulnerabilidad de la mujer, pero pocas veces escuchamos canciones acerca de la fuerza que tienen”.
Esta compilación editada por Costa Norte Records con el Auspicio del Instituto Nacional de La Mujer de Honduras reúne una serie de canciones de Guillermo en las cuales canta una serie de historias de mujeres.
Muchas de estas canciones han sido utilizadas en talleres en el pasado para generar discusiones con respecto a la situación de la mujer en Honduras y en Latinoamérica.
Canciones como la humorística “Historia de Manuelito” acerca un dia en la vida de un hombre que ofrece cuidar la casa y los niños, fueron canciones que nacieron del resultado de discusiones sobre temas que sugirieron mujeres campesinas.
La canción “A La Leche Materna” fue utilizada como tema para una campaña nacional que hacia conciencia sobre la importancia de la misma.
Haydee es una mujer que lava “ropa ajena “para ganarse la vida , pero tiene un gran espíritu y carisma que la convierte los fines de semana en la reina del calipso y del reggae.

Guillermo Anderson is Honduras’s best-known World Music Artist. Based in the lively Caribbean port of La Ceiba, GUILLERMO ANDERSON and his band CEIBANA, infuse Afro-Caribbean percussions with contemporary sounds, local rhythms, and folklore of Honduras'' coastal regions. Performances are spiced with the merging of Honduran Garífuna rhythms such as "Parranda" and "Punta" with better-known reggae, salsa and other Caribbean styles.
His concerts celebrate love, nature and everyday life in this part of the Caribbean. As an artist Guillermo has played an important role in Honduras bringing awareness on important issues like the protection of the environment, health and literacy. His song “En Mi Pais” is already an alternative national anthem in Honduras. His concert and recording “Para Los Chiquitos", a recording aimed at familiarizing children with rainforest species in danger of extinction have gained him a wide children''s audience in Honduras.
Guillermo Anderson and his band CEIBANA have gained wide recognition and acclaim through their concert performances in North, Central and South America, Europe Taiwan, and Japan.

Recently Guillermo started a concert for a group of organized women saying how we are “in our culture we are so used to hearing songs about the fragility and vulnerability of women but not about their strength.
This compilation put together by Costa Norte Records along with the support of Honduras National Institute For Women, brings together Guillermo´s songs in which the main characters are women.
Many of the songs in this compilation have been used in workshops by women’s organizations in Honduras to generate discussion about the situation of women in the country and in Latin America.
Songs like the humorous Historia de Manuelito, about one day in the life of a man who has agreed to do the home chores and take care of the children, were the result of discussions and meetings with issues that campesino women wanted to address.
The song A La Leche Materna (Breast Feeding Song) was used widely for a breast feeding campaign.
There is also Haydeé who makes her living hand washing clothes but has a strong spirit and on weekends she’s the queen of Calypso and Reggae.
Adelante Muchachas the last song in the compilation is the sound track to a documentary by the same name that follows the lives and differences of two Honduran girls of different social classes but come together for the love of soccer.
