Innovative Desert" is Rey´s second album. It may be the continuation of his first album "Hidden Vibrations". Comparing the second album with the first wich was more dark and mystical in the tunes "Innovative Desert" have the same style, but with more rhythms and melodies. The style is atmospheric electronica with inspiration from band´s like Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, Brian Eno, Biosfere and Future Sound of London. For that reason the music have quite many references to the seventies and eighties but with the spirit of 2008. This Cd contains also very symphonic pasages on the album tracks "Mexican Treasure" and "Invisible Island". My old downtempo and triphop group Solscape is featuring on the sensual track "Pleasure".
Why did it go 8 years before the second release?
Well!! When Rey did featured the tribute cds with Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, Yanni, Didier Maourani and Milkways,he released his first album, "Hidden Vibrations" in 1999. After that Rey felt that he wanted to go different ways in the music. He began to make techno trance, house music, and pop music with vocals. You can find Rey´s pop track on the MP3-album "Love Songs" under the project name REY feat. Peter Smith. Rey´s house music has been included on the MP3-album "Sensual Music" with the project name Rey feat. G.S.. This style is sensual deep house and almost instrumental. You can find those two MP3-releases on I-tunes MP3-store. His progresive techno trance has never been released. After 6 years with progesive trance, house and pop Rey got the inspiration for another beautifull album in the ambient and electronica gender. Then he began to work on the music for his album "Innovative Desert". And now this album is available on CDBABY. Enjoy these beautiful tracks.
