Liberty and personal freedom appear in various forms. To some it is societal freedom of rights; to others it is the freedom recovery brings from addiction; to still others freedom is realized in the love of a woman, and finally some are free when they recognize their connection with the world around them. This work is the result of my fourth “crisis.” An old definition of crisis is engagement a “life turning point.”
I began writing music when I was ten but spent the majority of my adult life as a nurse. Now at fifty-two this work signals my engagement with life in a new way. LIBERTY is the story of my life and that of those who have been important to me. This is my story.
