Brian David Melnyk is an independent artist/musician from Winnipeg, Canada,
who has recorded CDs with the bands Farley Mohawk and Boo Radley. This is
his first independent release. It was written, performed, and recorded solely by
Brian David Melnyk in his own studio. The song “Long Road” has already
received airplay and has been included on a compilation CD of Winnipeg talent.
Brian has an Honors degree in Fine Arts and a B.A. with an English major, his
photography has been widely published on the CBC Radio 3 webzine, and he has
many commissioned sculptures and woodworking pieces under his belt. He has
also lived and worked in the Bahamas, producing large-scale sculptures for
fashion mogul Peter Nygard’s Bahamian estate. Brian is currently based in
Burundi, Africa, where he is recording a new CD, filming a video for “Long
Road”, and developing a documentary on the acclaimed drummers of Burundi.
