CAREER CLUB is a three-piece Brooklyn band formed in 2006.
CAREER CLUB consists of Hans Gutknecht (a gold-record engineer and composer of music for film and tv) on guitar and vocals, Jens Carstensen (a veteran of several New York rock and old-school punk bands) on bass and Philipp Gutbrod (an experimental jazz/cabaret drummer) behind the kit.
CAREER CLUB combines the buoyant melodies of power-pop, the slyness and wit of indie, and the visceral thrills of rock into something that meshes well with, yet stands out from, the sounds of the Brooklyn music scene.
CAREER CLUB has graced many a stage in their local New York, including venues such as Mercury Lounge, Cake Shop, Southpaw, Pianos, the Delancey and many others.
