Details:
The Entrained is an acoustic rock band based out of Seneca, Illinois. “But, we’re not folk,” states founder/singer/songwriter Dan Rub. “All my songs originate from my acoustic guitar, but I write in so many different styles; it’s hard to put my music into any one genre. I call it ‘acoustic rock’ or ‘acoustic pop,’ if there is such a thing, but it’s definitely not folk.”

Rub (pronounced "Rūb") has been writing music since first learning to play guitar at age 16. He grew up in Shorewood, Illinois and currently lives in Seneca, Illinois. He wrote and produced all the songs on The Entrained’s first CD entitled It’s So Crazy. “I guess the title kind of sums it all up. It may seem a little crazy to be doing my first release at my age, but it took me this long to get where I’m at. I’ve had to do everything myself from the ground up.”

The Entrained was formed in August 2006 and is currently Dan Rub on acoustic guitar & vocals, Bob Satler on bass guitar, and Bill Satler on drums. "The It’s So Crazy project is basically studio work; however, we three can definitely hold our own. We are an original band, but can also cover other music in different venues. Our goals are to add more musicians, play larger venues, and eventually go on tour, and with what we have accomplished in the studio, these goals are definitely achievable."

It’s So Crazy was started in early spring of 2006 and took one and one half years to complete. “I’ll admit when I first walked into Rick Powell’s ''Studio 71'' in Ottawa, Illinois, I was kinda clueless, although I had done a lot of demo recording projects in the past. But with the genius of the multi-talented engineer, Powell, plus the exceptional creative abilities of lead guitarists Alby Odum and Robert Treglio, the rich harmonies of Regina Doss, and the solid foundation of Kevin Stiles on drums with Bob Satler and Rick Powell on bass, things all came together."

“It’s So Crazy was the first song we completed and we all knew we had found a formula that really worked. When you surround yourself with creative, hard working, professional people, great things can and will happen."
