Details:
When I first started this project, I couldn''t wait for the end result- the CD you are about to listen to. After 9 months of planning,
countless frantic phone calls and a few sleepless nights, I realized that the joy is not in the destination, but in the journey itself.
It helps to believe that the energy you put into any project will bear fruit in some way. That''s what I keep telling myself anyway...

There are no mistakes in the song selection on this disc- some have waited a long time, while others danced in at the last minute
to make their presence known. "There''s a Boat That''s Leaving Soon" has been with me for some twenty years or more- a "good
sing" as we say- while "She Moved Through the Fair" is fairly new. Coupled with Fred Hellerman''s "With This Ring" (a world premiere- he writes with a sly grin...)- it perfectly describes two sides of one story. "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" has been with me from my Philadelphia summer theatre days- filed away in my memory bank for future use. "Sara Lee" is a reminder of days auditioning in New York- it''s just fun to sing. And then there is "Yard Sale"... I first heard the song- strangely enough- in a black corvette at the Jersey shore. My brother knew that I collected songs, and told me that I had to hear this one. The power of the song stayed with me for a very long time, as is seen by the audience reaction every time I sing it. "Here''s That Rainy Day" is a great old torch song, and "Where''ve You Been" is one of my favorites in this line up. "Tonight at Eight/ Madeleine" is a tongue twisting, gut busting, blue in the face kind of number- of my own design (self inflicted pain is the worst!), followed by a song that has been tutored all around the world- "Danny Boy". The final song "What a Wonderful Pal You Have Been" is more family than friend. Written by my grandfather in 1929- for my grandmother- I know that he is smiling that it is still being sung some seventy odd years later. In a sense- I am my grandfather''s voice.

So there you have it- my poor attempt to describe this CD. Perhaps I should have hired someone to write this- add "some of this" and "a little of that" to create the perfect promoters "smoke and mirrors" dream. The basic fact remains- I sing. I will continue to sing until I get it right- or star in my own Broadway show- whichever comes first. Thanks for joining me so far on this journey. All that is left- is for you to listen...
