KathyAnn B. Thompson has been nominated for the 2007 Caribbean Gospel Awards.
KathyAnn Patricia Belgrave-Thompson was born in Barbados,to the proud parents of Evangelist and Deacon Theophilus Belgrave. She grew up in Upper Weston, the parish of https://www.tradebit.comes with four siblings: one sister and three brothers. After migrating to the United States there she would be sister to three more siblings: one biological and two adopted. At the tender age of five, while attending the Carlton New Testament Church of God in https://www.tradebit.comes, Barbados the late Pastor Hoyte prophesied over KathyAnn''s life, declaring that she would have a Ministry in singing. KathyAnn''s calling to this Ministry began taking shape in those early days as she sang as a solist, and a small group and choral member at Harvest, Christmas and other programs.
After migrating to the United States with her family in 1981, KathyAnn continued her singing ways in church. She soon then attended The National Church Of God under the leadership of https://www.tradebit.comk Carrington, she has been attending this church ever since. It was during this time at The National Church Of God that KathyAnn decided to dive headlong into God''s work and the pursuit of her Ministry in song. She was appointed choir director of the church''s youth choir and at that time christened it "The National Uplifters" the name it has retained to this day. In church and beyond, she has sang as a lead vocalist, background vocalist and chorister. Her musical range include soprano and alto, but she has, at times ventured into the "male range" to sing tenor. You name it, KathyAnn has just about done it when it comes to singing.
In 1998, KathyAnn took her Ministry in song to another level when she began writing and composing her own songs. She has written or adapted and performed compositions for funerals, weddings and other significant events. Indeed, her passion for the art of singing goes so much more deeper than mere words can express.
KathyAnn has been singing for 31 years and still is, she is also a wedding coordinator, Interior decorator, caterer, exercise fanatic, and wife. She loves to create brillant ideas and is also on the Pastor''s Aide Committee, Usher board, and the Worship Team. In the past she held such positions as a Sunday School Teacher and a Secretary. I can truly say this is not the work of her, but the Anointing of the Holy Spirit working within her that God will be done to His Honor and Glory.
