Darlington native Lesa Hudson (https://www.tradebit.com), has charmed audiences around the Southeast with her soulful voice, energetic style and contagious smile for nearly 15 years with her trio, N’Accord. Now with the release of her first solo CD project, “Not Me,” (which includes 9 songs written or co-written by Lesa), God is expanding her territory and ability to impact people for Christ around the world.
With three top 10 songs under her belt, Lesa has quickly become an artist to watch in Christian Country music circles. Lesa’s first radio release to national Christian Country radio "Step Out In Faith" reached #2 in January 2007 on the well respected PowerSource Christian Country Top 100. Her second radio release “Not Me” peaked at #8 in June 2007. And her current radio release “Lukewarm Christian” topped the charts at #3 for January 2008. Her music receives strong airplay on radio stations nationwide, and can be heard worldwide on several Internet radio programs.
This early radio success and her showcase performance in November 2006 at Nashville’s renowned Acuff Theater earned her a nod from the Christian Country community as an "Artist To Watch for 2007" by PowerSource Magazine. She was also a 2007 top 5 finalist for ICMA New Artist of the Year, and a top 10 finalist for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Although the release of “Not Me” marks a pinnacle for Lesa, it is not the first of her successes. Her previous two CDs with N’Accord have boosted her popularity in the Christian music community. In October 2007, N’Accord released their 3rd CD project entitled “Worship.” She was a 2007 Top 5 Indieheaven Momentum Award Finalist for Country Artist of the Year and is currently a 2008 finalist in the same category (winners to be announced March 29, 2008); a semi-finalist in the 2006 Contemporary Christian Music Network International Talent Search; and a 2005 Exalting Him Semi Finalist. In May 2007, Lesa performed the National Anthem at the Darlington Raceway for the 2007 Dodge Avenger Race which was televised live on FOX-TV. She filled in for Josh Turner who was unable to perform due to schedule conflicts when the race was postponed due to rain.
Lesa is also gaining popularity with her Country Music Showcase, a variety styled show featuring current & classic country music along with her Christian Country original hits. Lesa also produces & performs in “A Christmas Show Spectacular,” a Carolina Opry-style Christmas show held annually at the First Church of God in Darlington, SC. Lesa leads contemporary worship services at First Church of God along with a very talented team of musicians and vocalists.
