Details:
Welcome to Neal Fox’s world. A place full of contrasts, colors and surprises, almost like an amusement park on steroids. If you’re a fan of songs that don’t go deeper than “Oops, I did it again!” you’ve landed on the wrong page. Exit gracefully now.

But if you like a puzzle, or something to ponder while downing your third Starbucks or Red Bull, then stick around and have some fun.

Like Harry Chapin (who wrote about the Texas tower sniper), Fox writes it like he sees it. But he tempers the darker side of life with humor.

To start with, if you’re a fan of podcasts, you might know Suffolk ‘n’ Cool in the UK. Peter Clitheroe got such a kick out of “Swank-ay” he called it “delicious”. And you just can’t be in a bad mood when you hear “She Got Too Big for Her Body.” Go ahead, we dare you. If you think this song is politically incorrect, just remember that she’s dead, man, and having a damn good time.

“The Purpose” is reminiscent of the Beatles tune, “She’s Leaving Home” in that both young women are miserably unhappy. No one really sees or understands them. But in “The Purpose,” a twist of fate leads to a strangely happy ending.

As for “Sheep,” well it’s not about the animals, and it’s not complimentary. But if you’re reading this, you’re probably not one of them so you won’t care.

“A Zero With a Gun” recalls the tragic school shootings. Too many lives lost. Too many links to psych drugs.

On the lighter side, everybody’s got a she-done-me-wrong song. Neal’s got two: “What the Hell Were You Thinking” and “A Long Way to Go Now.” Take you’re pick.

Global Warming? A New World Order? 9/11 a hoax? What the hell? “Something’s Wrong”!

And speaking of 9/11, when the heroes of today are gone, who will replace them? “Is Anybody Home?”

Life is good. Life is hard. Every now and then you need a fresh start. “Pray for Rain.”

Back to the dark side, or actually the tug-at-your-heartstrings side. Whatever country you live in, if human rights, freedom and justice are things that you cherish, these songs are for you: “A Cold Day is Coming,” and, “We’re All Gonna Be There (When She Dies).”

Well, that’s the CD. We hope you enjoy the music.

Production notes: All songs were written, recorded and produced by Neal Fox in his personal studio using a Mac G-5, Digital Performer, a bunch of plug-ins, virtual instruments, and synths. Fox plays all instruments, including guitar, and does all the vocals.
