I have always written music. This collection of twelve songs represents a small portion of that endless stream spanning the years 1977 to 2006. It is my hope that the harmony driven melodies of these songs place the listener in the moment as “vignettes of emotion”. A few of these songs are, in fact, from my musical, Two If By Two.
Most writing, I suppose, is infused with the autobiographical, but only one of these songs is, in fact, just that. The style of the music, however, is truly personal and exposes my beliefs about what the craft of songwriting should be. I forever battle words, but not music. So while the storylines may be universal, their inspiration is music and there is nothing more personal to me than that. This particular collection represents merely the edge of all I have to show.
