As a musician, singer and song writer, it seems I''ve gone through every portal. I''ve performed in too many bands to count, spent countless nights exposing my soul with an acoustic guitar (or piano) and sang my heart out all the way from Oscoda, Michigan to Key West, Florida. This includes packed houses to nights just playing for the waitress and bartender. David Crosby, James Taylor, Donovan, Jim Croce, the Beatles, Paul Simon, and yes, Jimmy Buffett, have influenced my acoustic guitar playing and singing tremendously. Dick Wagner taught me to appreciate the beauty of Gibson 335s back in the early days of Michigan rock and roll. Eric Johnson and Walter Trout have constantly inspired and challenged me. My biggest challenge seems to be in restricting, or limiting my sound and image. I write from the events in my life, the good and the not so good - what else matters? When someone wants to hear my songs over and over again, then I feel it''s all been worth it.
