They say that all ends are also beginnings. Some people view the end, as the "end of the line"; the curtain closer. However, for the 5 musicians of Interstate 96, the end was in fact, the beginning. After years under the "Intersate 96" banner, the ambitious gentlemen set out to find their belonging in the twisted world known as "the scene". Reinventing themselves as "The Amber Crisis", was only step one. What followed was a new phase in their music, which proved the name was only the "icing on the cake". Combing the sounds of indie-rock, post-hardcore, alternative with their many inspirational influences, they surrounded themselves with song writing and editing. In March 2007, they finished their first release. Their debut EP, "The Past, The Future, and The Inbetween", reflects the evolution of the band, and the remnants of what once was, and what will be; dealing with subjects ranging from "pirates", to concept stories, to simple nostalgance. Just a few of their goals: Have fun playing music, and doing what they love, as well as striving to make a difference to someone, somewhere, reaching out to those sharing similar emotions. They have plenty of experience under their belts, having played venues like The Webster, The Space, https://www.tradebit.com, and more. At times, the aspiring 5 piece has had to make sacrifices, but never gave up, playing without a drummer, switching instruments, playing without a guitarist, or a singer. Prior to Seth''s entry into Interstate 96, the band played several shows acoustic, being without a drummer.
Still strong in 2008, the boys are in the studio recording and finishing their second release, due out by March. With the hearts of lions, determination, strength, modesty, and the simple love of having fun, The Amber Crisis is ready for what''s next. The end, as they say...is only the beginning.
