This CD is dedicated to Gian''s now eight-year old daughter Marissa. It is the result of his collaborartion with a select group of friends that, apart from their friendship, have two things in common:
1) They love music of all kinds, but especially Jazz.
2) They graduated from Boston''s Berklee College of Music.
Gian''s been friends with Gary Brunotte, Dave Chamberland and Keith Lentin since he first moved to Boston in the mid-seventies. He hooked up with Mark Kohler in the eighties playing in Top-Forty bands, with Steve Finn in the early nineties playing R&B and sailing the Atlantic as well as the Caribbean.
This CD was recorded live at Mountain Ash Sound in Belmont, MA, and mixed at Table Mountain Studios in NYC. Gian is a native of Switzerland and presumeably likes mountains ...
