COMMONERS & KINGS was born from Long Beach, California natives Jonathan “Jragonfly” Davis and Jason O’Neil. They later recruited Anthony Sims of Elkhart, Indiana and Marcus Robison or Pomona, Ca. The name simply means we are all common men born to be Kings through Christ and when we become Kings we must never forget we are still common men.
The work is based on the foundation of the Gospel and influenced by everything from hip hop to relationships. They strive to glorify God by providing quality art to the public, to be an encouragement to the global community, and to have a good time in the talents given to them.
Constantly performing at all Southern California’s hottest spoken word venues, Churches, and Universities they have shared the stage with The Breax, Judah 1, Propaganda of the Tunnel Ratz, and many others.
