MP3 Crazy Alice - Hey Jimmy, have a great summer

For any fans of Dinosaur Jr., The Pixies, or Sunny Day Real Estate, Crazy Alice is a must.

14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: 90''s Rock, ROCK: Garage Rock

Details:
Boston based four piece, Crazy Alice - summoned from the backwaters of the east coast pop punk scene - deliver a unique sound to a two bit genre. Doing their part to slap homogenized talent in the face, they beat that dead/dying horse with seldom witnessed ferocity. Four full-lengths strong, it’s obvious Crazy Alice knows how to preserve the punk aesthetic while pushing the boundaries, sporadically dipping into almost-metal math-rock. It’s fast, loud, crunchy, and raw.

“Crazy Alice has managed to spot-weld together a unique combination of American East Coast punk and 70’s guitar arena rock. The Result is a powerful, tight, sonic and melodic, with a dash of honest-to-god, wailing guitar solo’s.” And what rock record would suffice without? The speedy licks on “Best Damn Chicken in the Fair,” might even make J. Mascis shed a tear of two.

Their songs are chalk full of catchy melodies, delivered with the awkward vocal confidence of front man, Jeff Ahearn. Nasally wailings backed by a wall of John McCarthy’s intricately woven guitar harmonies, chunky power-chords, and the tight rhythm of Gino Zanetti.

“Even as the band continues to evolve, it still keeps in mind what punk was meant to be – music that confuses, cleanses, enrages and induces euphoria all at the same time.” -CMJ
