We recorded this album in one day in a rehearsal studio in San Francisco. The studio was soon sold for 11 million dollar and thousands of bands were kicked out because of the dot com industry boom, but that''s a different story... Anyway we got our friend (and amazing drummer) Pete Stalsky to sit all day and work the knobs and faders while we played our songs. Everything was recorded live except for the vocals which were overdubbed later that day. Robert was really sick and took naps. It was a long day, but in the end a pretty good effort for a very young band with no money.

The album has a lot of pretty cool parts, accidents, and moments of good and badness that happened live. That is what we like about it. It captures what we were at the time. As a young band in San Francisco we were invited to play live a lot at random places. Our first gig was on top of a bus at a roller derby. A lot of our early sound was meshed with these bizarre parties and events that we found ourselves participating in. We had a lot of fun in those days. We were developing a sound that was sort of heavy but had elements of folk, pop, country, punk and metal. We wore face paint, draped Christmas lights over us, played in drag and had matching cowboy hats. Ahh, the good old days.

We developed into a more intense force as the dot com industry took hold and the Bush administration came into power. All of us became very affected by what was happening in our city and in our country and we started to play benefits to aid needy organizations and to protest the pro-war policies of the Bush administration. We had friends who were dying on the streets of our city in America while Bush wanted to send more of our friends to die somewhere else. Our second record captured these intensities and can be viewed at https://www.tradebit.com

Anyway, back to the music. Please give us a listen and if you like something, send us an email. Please visit our record label''s website where there are more free music downloads. https://www.tradebit.com

The Songs

Seams To Me
The cry for help and the alarm and the I stayed to long. "Lemon tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat."

So Drei
Come-uppance. You know the type where one lies in wait, persistent, enduring, trudging through some form of suffering. One approaches a breaking point and just before one snaps,...relief arrives.

A Ride To All The Way
Her drug was more. I need faster, better, longer. We all fall down. Some of us wait and save up the money to buy a car. The rest of us stick out our thumb and are gone.

Requiem For Big Ed
I met a ghost with mirrored sunglasses outside an Amaco in Brazil, Indiana.

Made A Box
Everyone goes through some form of stereo-typing, some label, blasted over the dynamic and intricate threads of our psyche. We are not simply "rugs". We are so much more. The box maker only knows one order. I am rubber you are glue.

Something Like A Measure
A moment''s quality becomes a country. I want for more of the lines to move. Are you in every picture? There is no statue that can stand the will of the weather. How long is belief for before it''s spelled out? Passes as a cat upstairs.

Steam Engine Girl
Did you ever have a girlfriend that could kick your ass?

Mother
German television has great documentary style programs; one time in Germany we watched a show about people who just finished or were currently serving sentences for murdering their lover. It brought new meaning to the idea of shame and regret.

Twin Peaks
Some time after September 11, 2001 the three of us were all tossing and turning in our beds from the same nightmare. Twin Peaks (a pair of hilltops in San Francisco) had been destroyed by airplanes manned by radicals who couldn''t bear the sensual form of the big mounds at the top of our city by the bay. These poor and innocent beautiful breasts of earth were obliterated by thoughtless, sexually repressed cowards.
