MP3 Granfalloon - A Proud, But Meaningless Collection

American progressive rock, weaving macrame guitar patterns over a powerful rhythm section.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Experimental Rock, AVANT GARDE: Experimental

Details:
Granfalloon is Ernie Douglas on Guitar and Vocals, Djeto Juncaj on Guitar, Curtis Settino on Bass and Vocals, and Chris Mallires (commonly referred to as Crash) on Drums and Vocals. Behind the scenes, John Hett was very instrumental in helping to create the group, and also collaborated in the song writing. The band has created a very unique progressive rock-n-roll sound that combines rhythmic acrobatics with melodic fervor and heart-stopping precision. Granfalloon released their first record (eponymously titled) on Phonetic Records in early 1989. They followed it with a second wiz-bang release in early 1990 titled Cacophonia; this was a compilation with two other great bands, Seu-Ghy-Gun and Burnt Weeny Sandwitch.
The sound and the fury continues as we fast forward to Saturday, November 27th,2004; Granfalloon performs a reunion show at the infamous Paycheck’s Lounge in Hamtramck, MI.
Fast forward again to the present; and for the first time in musical history, the music of Granfalloon is available worldwide. The tracks from both releases are now combined into one new release titled, “A Proud, But Meaningless Collection”; in part, or as a whole, now available in digital format on iTunes, Rhapsody, and many others, through CD BABY. Peace. love, and music...
