ROCK: Psychedelic, AVANT GARDE: Experimental

Details:
Avant Guards - This album is a home-made psychedelic jazz-rock blues experiment (for lack of a better definition). No computer was used. That explains the amateur recording. Your CD player must be able to read CD-R''s in order to listen to this album. I used a four-track tape recorder, then burned CD''s with a CD recorder. No professional studio or software was used at all.
Sabertooth is a heavily improvised, instrumental album. This turns a lot of people away. People mostly like their lyrics, and structure. I take a very raw, minimalist approach. Most tracks on the album are improvised jams. Then I used as little overdubbing as possible to achieve the desired sound.
Sabertooth - Born and raised on Long Island,I was born deaf in my left ear. I had a nasty downhill skateboarding accident @ 1998, when I was @ 25, which left me with no taste or smell. I can still play music though. I am lucky to be alive. I grew up with music. I played piano and took lessons as a child. In school I played violin, trombone, and trumpet. Now I play guitar and bass guitar in a Long Island rock band. My favorite band has always been Pink Floyd. I used to go to Grateful Dead concerts at MSG and Nassau Collesium a lot. I tend to like strange, meandering music, like Floyd''s old psychedelic stuff.
Much of this album was recorded in the late nineties: Tracks like - Rude Funk (circa 1997). This was originally recorded on an old tape deck from the early eighties or late seventies, then onto my four-track. I probably lost the original recording. Tijuana was also done @ 1996 or 1997, I did this one alone, by overdubbing the different instruments one at a time. The most recent recording is Tomorrow, which was written @ 2006 and recorded in 2007.
Without Adam Vespo, this album would not exist. The album is really just a compilation of jams and experiments that were recorded over a decade or so. The only songs that were actually written or planned : Lonely, Tijuana, Silver Moon, Tomorrow, and Strange Jelly. Adam does not appear on any of these, but he does on six other songs. The old tape deck used to record Rude Funk was his, and we taped it at his house. B-Town Blues was recorded on my four-track, at my old apartment in Burlington (VT), with Brian Molloy, in 2000 or early 2001. The rest was all done on Long Island, at my various homes and apartments that I have lived in (I move around a lot). Enjoy !!!

People who are interested in Pink Floyd Syd Barrett Jerry Garcia should consider this download.
