Blues rock meets countrybilly singer/songwriter

10 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Rock, ROCK: Rockabilly

Details:
ROCKABILLY BOY is the newest CD release by Singer/Songwriter
Richie Copalello. This latest recording, which was produced on a 4-track tape deck, features 9 new songs written by ''Rockabilly'' Richie Copalello.

The songs were mostly written at the end of 2007 and the recording sessions began in mid-January 2008, with the mastering and post-production completed during April.
The recording was done originally on tape and used multi-tracking in an effort to make it a ''vintage'' sounding type of recording. No computers were used for recording of the basic tracks.

On ROCKABILLY BOY, Richie Copalello plays all of the instruments (as on his other CD''s). Richie began playing music as a drummer in bands during the 7th and 8th grade. Raised in the South (of Chicagoland) he played in many garage bands and at different stages and venues. "I never minded the VFW gigs", Richie says. His father, John, was a drummer also for a Big Band during the Swing era and encouraged musical training for the young ''Rockabilly'' Richie.

While in high school, Richie taught himself to play the guitar and harmonica and he took an interest in songwriting. He has many musical influences but he found
the root-rock artists were the most desirable styles to emulate. Songwriters such as Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Link Wray and performers like the Everly Brothers and Jerry Lee Lewis continue to inspire Richie even now as a songwriter and performer.

ROCKABILLY BOY is not only a likable CD, but it is also a
neatly packaged item. The eco-friendly digipaks offer many color photos from the recording session as well as a country ranch photo shoot. "It was really cold out that day we did the cover photo". Richie says, "the weather was lousy, but it was kinda fun spending time at the ranch."

Those who purchase a copy of the CD, will also receive a photo on the disc of Richie when he was little bit
younger. "I think that picture was taken in 1957 or 58", he recalls, "It would''ve helped if there was a new Ford or a new Chevy in the background."

As mentioned earlier, Richie Copalello sings and plays all of the instruments on ROCKABILLY BOY. Richie learned to play rock piano and organ sometime after learning the guitar. Guitar is still his favorite instrument to play
but not necessarily to listen to. "I recently bought a violin and am trying to teach me how to play that too",
says Richie,"I''m hoping to play some country fiddle on my next CD"
