Details:
Originally formed in 1995 the band was a 5 piece 2 guitars, sax, bass and drums. We formed just to enter a Band War that was happening at one of the local pubs at the time. We got through to the finals and there we blew it and the band splintered with Tref and me reforming it as a hard rock 4 piece. This lasted until one day the bassist turned up on my doorstep to tell me how bad my guitaring and singing were. Information I was about as interested in receiving as I was in having him remaining in the band. The next bassist used to sit outside in his car during practice and only came in to tell us about things that involved very lurid descriptions of us and our talent and then proceeded to try and steal Trefs drumming gloves. Bassist number 3 stayed for awhile and we did lots of recordings the odd live gig but it was soon after him joining that the other guitarist realising that the band wasn’t big enough for both of us jumped up and left halfway through a practice never to be seen or heard of again. So we were a 3 piece. Until one day that to went to pieces and we became a 2 piece.
We went through a string of would be if could be bassists until one day at the end of 2002 we had had enough. During that year we had done 2 lots of recordings one at the start of the year and the 2nd lot at the end. But Tref went off and joined a heavy metal band and I wandered off to learn about film and 3d animation so we just shelved the recordings and the band.
In September 2007 our paths crossed again even though by now Tref lived over 500kms away. (That probably is not such a great distance over seas but here in NZ it’s about half an island away) We decided to meet up and make some noise and see how it goes. We asked Wayne from the original line-up and also guest on the final 2002 sessions to join us which obviously he did otherwise I wouldn’t have mentioned him.
What youre listening to now is a collaboration of both those sessions the new stuff: 1.2.3.5.6.7.8.11.12 and the old stuff: 4.9.10.
In total we had 22 songs to choose from and maybe later on I will compile a part 2 using the remaining 10 songs and some others we have from other sessions.
I hope that there’s something here that you like.
Cheers
Woll
