Review quotes:

"Fascinating music in its construction and surprising in its orchestral dimension (...) An aesthetic approach of a rare elegance et authenticity, partially due to the the sound of the rhythm section, rigorous and inventive (...) A convincing stylistic counterpoint to the too many jazz trios published these last years." - Guillaume Bregeras - Jazzman (F)

"In the best moments, something reaches through this music (L''herbe rouge I, Gnossopédie...), something impalpable, something that counts... Perhaps simply beauty." - Marc Sarrazy - Improjazz (F)

"Dequidt''s playing is constantly vital (...) The music is original, unbridled in its search for various ways and deeply fascinating." - Magnus Eriksson - Svenska Dagbladet (S)

"Dequidt''s debut is a strong and innovative demonstration of good style and thrilling variation (...) Every piece grows dramatically, which makes this inspiring music to a vitamin injection for the soul of the engaged listener." - Göran A Nilsson - Sydsvenskan (S)

"Layers demands a lot of its listener, with a potential to grow for every time you listen to it. When you have done it, something big grows up." - Mats Palmquist - Lira (S)

"This is music you want to be wrapped in, go into and feel how it grows and pulsates. - Tor-Björn Lyrhed - Linköpings-Posten (S)

"An early favorite was Gnossopédie (...) There is something appealingly dramatic about this piece, and Dequidt''s playing is on the whole often dramatic and kind of declaiming. A record that deserves to be listened to." - Jörgen Östberg - OJ (S)

"Loïc Dequidt''s playing is lyrical and stimulates the imagination. There is beauty in his expression even when the improvisations grow out. Listen to Elégie, where every piano tone leads somewhere. From meditative openings it comes out soon a beautiful melody, lifted by the rhythm section. A strong debut." - Jan Backenroth/Skaraborgs Allehanda (S)
