Mark Kaye Bio
Jazz Latin Pop Soul singer/songwriter Mark Kaye is an energetic showman new era artist. Born 1-10-76 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is 6 feet tall and 190 ponds with dark hair and brown eyes. He now lives and performs out of the San Francisco Bay area.
Mark is the son of a professional Hawaiian boxer, and one of four brothers. Mark began playing piano at age five and started writing songs at age eight. Mark says, “Writing songs saved me when I had something on my mind. I would write a song about it always brought me peace.”
Mark has recorded 6 CDs and mainly performs on the West Coast. Grammy nominated producer Greg Landau has referred to Mark as a modern day Herbie Hancock/Ricky Martin. Mark has strong roots in Latin Jazz Funk/R&B.
Mark is just completing his 7th CD titled “Singer Songwriter” which features Mark in a more acoustic arena. This CD showcases Mark’s writing, vocals and keyboard skills. Mark is also in the process of finishing a CD with the Bass player Paul Jackson and the drummer Mike Clark from the famous Herbie Hancock and The Headhunters under the band name East Bay Messengers. Mark co wrote and is co producing this CD.
