This album has been a lot of fun to create. I’ve been leading a sing-along after school in my classroom for a few years. I always had a hard time finding songs that were perfect for kids in the upper elementary grades—so I decided to write some of my own. They turned out better than I ever expected. I hope you like the album!
I grew up in Farmington, Michigan. After graduating from the University of Michigan, I taught in Osaka, Japan. When I returned to the US, I taught 1st grade on the east side of Detroit. I currently teach in a 3rd and 4th grade multi-age classroom in Birmingham, Michigan.
My ambitions include being a great teacher, writing excellent songs for kids, and one day—if I’m lucky—living in a tree house.
