South Florida based worship leader and Christian recording artist, Tony LeBron, is known as a singer and notable Worship Leader. Tony recently joined Dr. Jonathan Burnham at Boca Raton Community Church as the Minister of Music. Over the years Tony has partnered with a broad range of internationally acclaimed artists as Natalie Grant, Anthony Evans, Melissa Greene, The Katinas and many more.
The Beginning Years
The second child of Herman and Norma LeBron''s 4 children, Tony was born in St. Croix, U.S Virgin Islands. Moving to Orlando, Florida at the age of 7 Tony grew up attending a small Spanish church where he was introduced to the traditional music of his Latin culture, music that would later impact his life so powerfully. It was in this small church where Tony discovered his love for music. At the age of 10 Tony sang his first solo "He''s still working on me" by the age of 15 Tony was active in his church as Worship Leader and by his senior year in High School, Tony was leading Campus bible studies and was an integral part of his youth group.
Tony then attended Southeastern University where his passion for music grew and was influenced greatly. While at Southeastern, Tony performed with the premier musical groups as well as lead the Campus Worship Choir. While in College Tony was introduced to Roger Breland and TRUTH. Tony had the honor of being a part of TRUTH during their Farewell tour.
A turning point in Tony''s life was on a missions trip to Costa Rica. "I''ll never forget seeing the faces of the children. Children that had nothing. I so desperately wanted to go back to the states sell everything I owned and return and give them the profits. Then I realized that even the wealthiest people in the world are miserable. Money is not the answer. The only thing that I could give them that would really make a difference, was to share with them the Love of Christ. Love that never fails, Love that never disappoints, Love that does not abandon, Love that is forever, Love that Saves!" I knew then that I wanted to spend the rest of my life sharing the Love of Christ, through whatever means possible.
After TRUTH, Tony moved to Nashville, TN where he had the honor to serve as Back Ground Vocal to Female Vocalist of the Year Natalie Grant. Tony also traveled with the Promise Keeper Praise team, traveling through out the U.S in Conferences leading thousands of men in worship to the Savior. Tony has worked along side Jeanne Mayo during her National Youth Leaders Convention. His deep love for missions has lead him to partner with World Help visiting such countries as India, Costa Rica, Poland and Peru.
This past year Tony decided to partner with his good friends John Katina and Kenne Belle to produce his first studio project. Although Contemporary Christian and Pop/Rock in nature , this record is highly influenced by Tony''s heart for worship with songs like "Hiding Place" and "Holy One". "Renew me" and "Letting Go" remind the listener to let go of one''s old patterns and walk in the newness that Christ gives. "I am Free" is an Anthem to that Freedom. "My prayer is that wherever one may be while listening to this record; at home, in the car, at work or at the beach. That one would be encouraged to serve Christ deeper, to Obey Christ''s commands with more Fervor, to Love Greater and to Live Freer!"
