Studio Jams from Anacrusis Sound Studio. Very Raw, very real, VERY good. All Tracks are three guys, one drummer, one keyboard, and one bass - or mandolin.
The Grand Papa Donks were founded by Tom, a drummer, and accomplished photo-videographer, he has been an professionaly employed artist of some sort or other for over 18 years. "Music turned from an obsession/hobby to profession just recently for me and ever since, I have never looked back. As much as I enjoy painting with light (video), music has always been my first, best destiny. It''s a far better resting place that I come to here than I''ve ever known."
"I got the Donk idea one day while working with some of the musicians in my studio on their projects. We all have really good ideas, and some of us are pretty good songwriters, but, artists being what they are and my studio being so new, nothing was getting done fast enough! So, I figured, why not put all these bits and pieces together into a sampler for everyone working in the studio..."

Most of the stuff is straight jams with minimal editing and almost no post production whatsoever. They are the raw inspired musical moments that happen when a few talented improvisors sit down together and play. Just like kids on a sunday afternoon in the pool. "we just "tickled" each other until we couldn''t stand it any more."
These songs on this and the other samplers have become the raw un-spoiled roots of the seriously written and produced songs the Grand Papa Donks are compiling into a true finished CD project.
