The Armored Faith project began one day in 1990 when I was inspired—big time—to write 44 songs in one marathon session. As I composed them, I made a simple demo recording of each one. These demos have been made into 4 medleys, tracks 15-18 on this CD. Then 12 years went by, and I recorded the original Armored Faith CD in 2002, combining those songs to make 34 tracks, and making all-new recordings of them, and adding 2 new songs. I shared that CD with people in the past 6 years, but have always wanted to take the songs to a higher level. This year, I finally got around to it. In my latest attempt, I have managed to make the recordings of Armored Faith into 13 big, new medleys. That made them more listenable. Then, I had always wanted to overdub some more vocal harmony and instruments onto the originals, to give them more depth and variety of sound. I did that, too. Finally, I topped the whole collection off with a new medley made from 3 short songs that fit together in counterpoint. It’s called “Armored Faith”, which seemed like a very appropriate song to have on the CD. I have added the word “Victorious” to the CD’s title, because that’s how I’m feeling about this new work, and that’s also what you will be if you listen to this CD regularly and sing along!
