Grain brings together an energetic mix of 70''s rock and punk, with a roots feel. Each member having diverse influences, but with the common goal of creating well crafted songs and fun rock and roll. Grain has performed successfully in front of many different types of audiences and venues, while still maintaining their distinct sound.
When Grain began work on their debut recording, they wanted to make a record like the ones they grew up listening to; a record where tracks were distinctive, but flowed cohesively. A record that was warm--analogue, yet without dating itself. They used a singer-songwriter approach, infused with loud, live guitars and drums. The result is a rock n roll recording the way they were meant to sound: raw, spontaneous, and full of energy.
