A Priori was a DIY punk/hardcore quartet based in Northern New Jersey, existing from 1986-1990 or thereabouts. Many local shows, one coast-to-coast US/Canada tour, and other gigs on the East Coast were highlights of the band''s existence. Official releases include the self-released 1988 ''Damn The Past'' 12" mini-LP and compilation cuts on Skene! and Shredder. The 20th anniversary digital re-release of the ''Damn The Past'' includes 3 of these compilation tracks as well as two songs from the band''s 1987 cassette-only studio demos.
