Bill Menacher began playing music in rock n roll bands at the age of 11 and began composing at age 20 while at the University of Toledo Theatre Department. He composed the score to an original musical that was produced by the University and over the next several years scored two additional musicals that were produced by the University and City of Toledo. Presently, Bill plays with three musical groups: North Coast Concert Band, North Coast Big Band, and the catholic music group, Wings of A Dove. Bill is the composer for the original music of Wings of A Dove which has released four CD''s over the past 8 years. Bill holds a law degree from the University of Toledo, an M.F.A. in theatre/directing from Northwestern University, and a B.A. in theatre from the Univ. of Toledo. Although he is a practicing lawyer, his primary love is music. A member of ASCAP, and such organizations as TAXI and Broadjam, Bill has released had one of his rock instrumentals licensed for television. A number of other songs, including two of his orchestral works on the CD "Conversations" have been placed in various music libraries.
Bill plays five different instruments and is presently working on the violin (which maybe the toughest of all instruments to learn).
He owns his own home studio powered by M-audio Pro Tools with a collection of seven guitars, 4 pianos, drums, harmonicas, congas and enough wiring to run the space shuttle.
