This is my second set of songs since "coming out" with my music for the first time last year, and hopefully I''m sounding a little better. The songs reach you without ever having encountered an objective opinion, so I''ve no idea whether you''ll like them. It doesn''t get any more scary - or exciting - for a solo artist, but I feel it''s the only hope for honest and genuine communication which in the end is all I''m looking for in the world.
I used a guitar for the first time on a few of the songs which generally reflects that this is - again, at least, I hope - a more lively, quirky and irreverent production than "Teething", though I do dip into the sociopathic doldrums more than a few times as is my wont.
The bonus tracks are seasonal, included here for lack of anywhere else in particular to put them. "Pumpkin Song", clearly, is a Halloween song, and I''m the first to admit that it''s unfinished. I''m more pleased with my Christmas song "Cry No More" - an "uncensored" version of which is available on request. Neither should be considered a part of the album which ends at track 11. The first track, "Cold Heart", incidentally, was originally meant to be the last track of "Teething" - so I guess you could really call this a sequel as it picks up exactly where the first album left off.
I sincerely hope you enjoy, engage, understand ... any positive response can only be good.
For those who require names: Melody wrote the music and lyrics, Mark Shoat produced it, and Casper was the singer. But that''s all just me really. Love was provided by Sarah, to whom I give all my thanks for putting up with me when I was working on it. One day we''ll be together.
