What started as something to do to help pass the time in small town Allouez, Wisconsin, has turned into a full time obsession for singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Frey. Chris started playing guitar at the age of 16 and immediately started writing material. Being in a few bands in the Green Bay area and none of them working out completely he decided he would do it all on his own and started doing shows as an acoustic artist. Things really got serious after he moved to Madison for college and pouring countless hours on end into constantly writing new and creative music has finally started to pay off. His music has caught on and in only his third show as a solo artist, he shared the stage with Rookie of the Year (One Eleven Records) and Quietdrive (Epic Records.)
The only thing that was missing from Chris'' short but impressive resume was a studio recording session. That all changed when he entered Simple Studios in Green Bay, Wisconsin in late December and recorded his first demo, Equinox. The simple meaning of Equinox is the changing of seasons, but when looked at more in depth, it represents the growth and blossoming of his music into something new and beautiful. It also represents how different events in peoples lives effect who they became and what they are. The demo will feature four original tracks, one for each season of the year. At the young age of 18, you can expect big things to come from this small town teen. Prost!
