Daniel James Martinusen is a Christian recording artist and songwriter who has produced several inspiring CDs with all original songs. "No More Sorrow" was Daniel''s first completed album project, which was first released in 1993. "It''s been over a decade and I still get people asking for copies of this album," said Daniel, "so I have finally decided to make it available online."
Daniel writes & produces Christian Contemporary, country & worship music and currently leads home church worship, Sunday school and bible studies in his hometown of Cottonwood, California. He is married with five children, his wife and children often being the inspiration for his songs.
From Daniel: About “No More Sorrow”
I wrote the song “No More Sorrow” in memory of an eleven-year-old girl named Heidi Campbell, who loved to sing for the Lord. Her family attended my home church during the time of her passing, which followed her traumatic battle with brain cancer. She was a great inspiration for others, as even in the late stages of her illness she would bravely make her way up to the platform and sing “I Have a Friend,” a song about her love for Jesus. I can''t begin to tell you how much that blessed me to see her pouring out her heart before the Lord even in the midst of her suffering.
From Daniel: About “Role Model”
My mom raised us seven children alone, as my dad had left when I very young, and she has never re-married. We were all in desperate need of a male role model who would be a Godly example for us. So in answer to my mom’s prayers, God sent a man from our home church named “Joe” to spend time with us, leading us in the right ways and counseling us during our difficult teenage years. To this day, I attribute my strong faith in Jesus both to my mom and to Joe, who each unselfishly gave up their time and showed the love of Christ to us. I wrote “Role Model” to honor Joe, who still today remains my good friend and father figure.
